Ressies v Rockleaze (home)
So top of the league clash on a windy St Bedes ,great crowd today and the boys
were up for a big test against a solid team in Rockleaze, we started off really well
and was pushing for goals at every opportunity, we got on the score sheet after
about 15 mins Cody Winkler pounced and stuck the back of the net as he has been
threatening every week , Tom Cox stood on the edge of the area from a corner and
as the ball came out hit a cracking right foot shot like Robin hoods arrow into the
goal ,,we started to unsettle them and they were pushing for a goal but after some
great team play we found Rhys O’Donovan who struck the 3rd goal , unfortunately
just on half time a Rockleaze defender and 1 of our players slid for a ball on the
corner byline and clashed with the fence and lower wood edging resulting in a
shoulder being dislocated he has gone home from hospital and on the road to
recovery best wishes from all of us at the club I told their manager later that
afternoon, so second half we were on the back foot possibly taking the foot off the
gas they scored a goal and rattled us ,, fortunately we held out until 75 mins they
scored a second and now 3 2 up were under the cosh we made some changes and
Charlie Dumble took his striker into his pocket for the last 15 of the game ,, so hat
trick hero last week Regan Trump came on and 8 mins from time ghosted into the
back post and tucked away his 4th in 2 games after again great team football, as
always Robbie Maddox Riley and Mark stayed strong at the back and all the subs
added fresh legs at a vital time , apologies to Omar who didn't get on but tight in
certain areas today, Ben Walters was back charging around their midfield danger
man so a massive 4-2 home win for the boys and showed we can battle and dig
deep for 90 mins when we need to.
Donkey this week Rhys as he started to celebrated a goal too early but ended
up hitting the corner flag, and Lewis Coverdale for running his marker inside out
and got to the byline and decided to hit row Z in the car park I think the table got
more drunk than Lewis the amount he spilt
Well done the boys massive 3 points today
Clarky and stretch thank you both with the usual pre-match running about and
stretch for being sought out by the ref as he said I can see him all 7 foot as he was
only 4 ft 3

A team
6th Jan
The A team’s first game back after Christmas saw them line up against Bristol
Wanderer’s who play out of Severn beach.
The A team had an explosive start with Top Goalscorer Cameron Cafferkey putting
them 1-0 up in the space of 5 minutes. Wanderers are a good side and just before
half time scored their equalizing goal which they deserved.
After the break the A team put the pressure on and Lewis Carr grabbed 2 goals to
send the A’s to there first win of the year.
