“We welcome Chalford to Pen Park this weekend in our penultimate home
game of the season. Both teams were promoted into the league this season
with the two sides meeting in the playoffs and Chalford coming out on top on
that occasion.
Chalford currently sit in seventh place in the league on thirty five points. I’m
sure both teams would have started the season hoping to avoid relegation but
at this point of the season with that all but secured and with a number of
games still to play both teams will want to finish the season as high up the
league table as possible.
We go into this weekend after a tough draw against top of the league last time
out after being denied what we thought was a stonewall penalty in the
opening stages of the game. We were arguably the better side on the day and
can come away from the game with our heads held high knowing on another
day we could have got a result.
Everyone at the club is proud of the season we have had so far and are
intrigued to see how the run in unfolds and look forward to seeing you all for
our last home game of the season in a few weeks time.
We will hopefully see many of you back at the Filton Feast after the game for
some amazing food and a few beers whatever the result.”
