Welcome......
Greetings everyone and welcome to the Big Local Stadium, in
particular the management and players of today’s visitors Thornbury
Town FC. We should also welcome our Match Officials and hope they
enjoy their stay with us.
Once again, the intermittent nature of our fixture programme,
caused mainly by the weather, has not helped us to obtain any
consistency in our performances.
To illustrate this, last Saturday’s 3-0 victory at Stonehouse Town had
been preceded by two postponements and we find ourselves in fifth
place in the table.
Today we entertain Thornbury Town who have been up amongst the
leading sides in the league for the whole of the campaign and handed
us a 4-1 beating earlier in the season. As such we expect them to
provide stern opposition this afternoon.
We hope you all enjoy today’s game, hopefully an entertaining one
with a positive result for us at the end.
