OUR FEATURED VOLUNTEER… Rita Norton
Rita has volunteered with DCCS since
November 2019. You can see her every Monday
morning and whenever she is needed. She
assists with input of the data for our programs
and joined the DCCS golf committee this year
assisting at the tournament. She enjoys being
outdoors with her children who are three horses,
one dog and one husband.
Rita is a 20 year colon and breast cancer
survivor. We are very glad to have Rita in our
DCCS family. Thank you, Rita for all you
do for the cancer patients of Douglas County.
WHAT WE NEED…
One of the popular items provided to breast cancer patients are the Knitted Knockers.
Breast cancer survivors who come to the DCCS office are introduced to the soft and
lightweight prosthesis. Our supply is running low and we would appreciate donations of this
item. If you enjoy knitting or crocheting, we have donated yarn at our office and the
