Highlights of Puerto Montt and Frutillar

Take a pleasant city tour of Puerto Montt, the capital of Region X,
founded by German settlers in 1853 and enjoy panoramic views from
the hills above. You'll have the chance to visit the Main Square or Plaza
de Armas before leaving Puerto Montt for a journey north to Lake
Llanquihue, Chile's largest natural lake. Enroute to Puerto Varas, pass
through the beautiful, lush countryside dotted with weathered barns
and churches. In Puerto Varas, you will have a magnificent view of Lake
Llanquihue.

Next, visit Frutillar, a charming German style village situated on the west
side of Lake Llanquihue. A visit to the interesting local museum will
provide an insight into the life of German settlers who colonized the
area towards the end of the past century. Return to the motor coach for
a scenic drive back to Puerto Montt.
