This is an active program that takes place at high altitudes. We will
travel from an elevation of 16 ft. at the Callao port in Lima, to 11,152 ft.
at Cusco, and 7,970 ft. at Machu Picchu.

Itinerary Local time is Seattle +3 hours

Day 1 – Saturday, December 2, 2017

After disembarking the ship, the group
takes a flight to Cusco. We will stay at
the JW Marriott El Convento Hotel
which has an oxygen enriched system in
the rooms to help acclimate to the
altitude. This service is included with
this package.

After lunch, we will see the splendid Baroque-style Cusco Cathedral,
built in the mid-1500s on the foundations of an Inca palace. Many of the
stones used in its construction were looted from the nearby
Sacsayhuaman fortress.
