Braman Client Adviser Freddy Rhemrev Takes His Expertise – And His Clients – To The Races

“The last time I drove
an open-wheel car was almost thirty years ago, when I won the pole po- sition at the 1987 Sports Car Club of America Na- tional Runo s,” says Fred- dy. “But with all the seat time I get working with the Braman Performance Driving Program and the testing I do with various clients and their race cars and racing karts, I felt right at home... although it seems they make the cars a little smaller these days. I’ve never driven at Homestead, or driven this
kind of car, but I quali ed 4th and nished 5th, right behind my teammate. I hope to get more chances

And once in a while, a dream of his own comes true, as was the case recently when Joel Haas, one of Freddy’s custom- ers and owner of Parametric Solutions (a leader in turbine engine development / www. psnet.com), invited him to jump back into an open- wheel race car and compete in a race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Freddy spends a good deal of time at Palm Beach International Raceway work- ing with clients at Braman Performance Driving and Palm Beach Driving Club events. He’s also a driver coach for many of his clients who race professionally and enjoys his time o testing race cars for various teams and re ning his own skills Continued on page 54.
