CLUB BRAMAN PERFORMANCE
DRIVING PROGRAM GETS
RE-INVENTED
New Track, Direction and Teen Safety Added for 2019
Braman Motorcars has been active at the racetrack ever since 2006 when Freddie Rhemrev, Senior Global Brand Ambassa- dor & Professional Driver/Instructor and Danny Bayard, now Marketing Manager invented their rst Braman track experi- ence.
“I was the Sales Manager of MINI back then and we were looking for some
fun events which catered to the unique characteristics of the MINI brand.” stated Bayard. “MINI’s handle like go-karts and what better way to mix fun and driving instruction than a slalom course. That’s when the program was initially invented. We later rolled it out for all brands” he continued.
From those humble beginnings grew a 12 year performance driving program that has served thousands of Club Braman members of all Braman brands. “The Braman Performance Driving Program is designed to educate our customers on the subject of Performance driving and provide real-time race track events with a safe, educational and exhilarating experi- ence to test their car’s performance.” said Rhemrev. “We seek to turn a novice into a performance driver and develop sharper and advanced driving skills for the more

For 2019, there will be two new initiatives. One will move the event to PBIR’s newly revamped Autocross track where the driv- er’s ability to navigate multiple twists and
turns will be tested and test the abilities of their Braman cars.
A second event will be a Teen Driving program that will edu- cate young drivers on the safe operation of their cars, what to do in wet driving, taking curves safely, parking, panic stops and a host of other essential driving techniques to keep them safe on South Florida Roads. Two young race car drivers will join Rhemrev to be able to directly relate to youths of their age; Christian Daas and Jillian Fich- ter.
Jillian, 17, is a regular at PBIR and has raced at the Daytona In- ternational Speedway: 14‐Hour Enduro this past April. For Jillian,
the challenge of a teenage girl making
a place for herself in auto racing doesn’t seem to faze her when she’s competing against some 80 cars on the track and is usually the only girl in the bunch. A junior at Jupiter Christian School, Jillian has her sights set on medical school.
Christian Dass, 22, has 11 years of Pro- fessional karting experience with many wins in the Gearbox category and has established himself as the one of the top karting drivers in North America. Braman is one of Christian’s sponsors in the F1600 Pro Series in 2018 and racing in the Pro- fessional Open Wheel Series placing 5th place in the Championship and earning Rookie of the Year. Christian along with his father and brother run LD Racing, a karting and race car prep shop located in West Palm Beach.
