Porsche’s Hot-Selling SUVs Are Sleeker, Faster, More Luxurious... and More Practical
Macan
they’ll all be happy with the sleek re-style that o ers stylish hints of both the 911 and the Panamera, along with a palette of exotic new colors such as Miami Blue and Mamba Green Metallic.
Three versions will be o ered, with the Macan sporting a 252 horsepower 4-cyl- inder engine under the hood. Next up will be the Macan S with a 354 horse- power 6-cylinder, and the Macan Turbo will borrow the twin-turbo V-6 from the Cayenne S, giving you 440 horsepower to play with.
Standard equipment includes an 11-inch touchscreen, online navigation system and three-zone climate control. Op- tions include a sports exhaust system, BOSE and Burmester audio systems and an adaptive cruise control system with Tra c Jam Assist that isn’t quite fully-au- tonomous driving, but helps out with the braking, acceleration and steering in slow-moving tra c.
Porsche West Palm Beach has the widest range of current Porsche vehicles, and always gets the new models rst, so keep an eye on www.BramanPorsche.com
for the latest news. Better still, talk to a Porsche Certi ed Global Brand Ambas- sador at (561) 926-9144 and they’ll be happy to arrange the most thrilling test drive you’re likely to experience. Porsche West Palm Beach’s brand new, state- of-the-art dealership is located at 2801 Okeechobee Blvd.
The Cayenne is the vehicle that opened the SUV oodgates for Porsche back
in 2002 and it, along with the smaller Macan are now the best-selling models in the company’s lineup... and both are debuting new generations for 2019. The all-new Cayenne is in stock now, and
the Macan will be in the showroom at Braman Porsche West Palm Beach in early Spring.
Porsche calls the Cayenne “A sports car for ve”, which is eminently reasonable when you look at the speci cations for the three di erent versions. The base Cayenne (though frankly it’s ridiculous
to apply that term to a vehicle like this) comes with a 335-horsepower V6 engine under the hood, leather upholstery, Bluetooth, ve USB ports, Apple CarPlay, a Wi-Fi hot spot, a 10-speaker audio system, satellite radio, a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, and the Porsche Communication Management infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touch screen and navigation... see what we mean?
Available features include a panoramic sunroof, quad-zone automatic climate control, a choice of Bose and Burmester stereos, a rear-seat entertainment sys- tem, heated and ventilated front and rear seats, massaging front seats, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking.
The Cayenne S (always a potent letter in
the Porsche scheme of things),
ups the game with a 434-horse-
power twin-turbo V6 engine. In addi- tion to all standard equipment named above, Cayenne S driver and passengers are treated to a standard panoramic sunroof... de rigueur for the West Palm Beach environment.
Then we come to the Cayenne Turbo (and we all know what that means)... a 541-horsepower turbocharged V8, zero to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds (with optional Sport Chrono Package) and a top speed (during Braman events at Palm Beach In- ternational Raceway only, please) of 177 mph. Standard equipment, in addition to active aerodynamics and high per- formance brakes, includes a 14-speaker Bose audio system, heated front and rear seats, and 18-way power-adjustable front sport seats... in addition to all various accoutrements listed above.
And, in the pipeline, there’s the fast and e cient Cayenne E-Hybrid, sporting a 3.0-liter V-6 engine and electric motor that combine to produce 462 horsepow- er, 0 to 60 mph in ve seconds and the ability to tow up to 7,000 pounds.
“The Cayenne has been visibly and tangibly improved and perfected in all respects, and has also been digitalized and networked throughout to give it
a forward-thinking design”, says Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board at Porsche AG.
The Cayenne is a tough act to follow, but the Macan has its legions of fans, and
