Porsche has embarked on the most signi cant slate of product development in the company’s history and for 2019 that means a next-generation 911, GT2 RS and GT3 RS street-legal track-day
cars that are faster than ever, new GTS versions of the Panamera GTS and GTS Sport Turismo... and the opportunity to pre-order the upcoming, totally radical, all-electric Taycan.
The 911 (insiders call it the 992) is the beating heart of Porsche, this year fea- tures a sleek evolution of the traditional look, distinguished by a broader stance
and a full-width taillight. The in- terior is actually a more radical re-style, with con gurable info screens re- placing four of the ve gauges (there’s still an analog tachom- eter front and center) and a Panamera-like center console virtually devoid of buttons and switches.
The Carrera lineup of 2 and 4-wheel drive versions, as well as coupes and convert- ibles, will be rolled out from now through summer, with turbocharged 6-cylinder engines ranging in power from 385 to 450 horsepower. New features include

an 8-speed PDK gearbox, an extra driving mode that alters the chassis and drive- train’s electronic control when the car detects wet weather, optional lane keep assist, lane departure warning and night vision... as well as keyless entry and ush-looking door handles that pop out when you approach the car.
