Braman Motorcars has long prided itself on being a standout in the luxury automobile industry. Thanks to the company’s progressive attitude about “daring to be di erent,” Braman is an outstanding workplace for women, where members of the gender can feel comfort- able about letting their voices be heard, consider themselves highly-valued for the many positive contributions they make, and allowed to spread their wings and y. After all, no one would argue that everything is that much better with a woman’s touch.
Below, a small sampling of Braman’s fabulous females who weigh in on the important roles they play, and what it’s like to be part of such an extraordinary team.
You may have recently viewed The Women of Braman TV commercial this past summer in celebration of women leadership at Braman.
Name: Shannon Coates
Title: Assistant Parts Manager, BMW/MINI Years at Braman: 17
Shannon’s role encompasses everything to do with the day-to-day operations of the parts department. She relishes the opportunity to work with her team of employees and encourage their growth. Shannon brings a multifaceted set of assets to her role, among them: knowledge and experience, loyalty and compassion, reli- ability and approachability. She is proud to say that by investing time and energy, the women at Braman are not only looked upon as equal partners, but also, they’ve gained the respect of industry peers. “You need to be a smart, strong, con dent person to thrive as a woman in the automotive industry. When people make assumptions based on your gender, I personally love proving them wrong,” she says.
