THE FIRST BIRTHDAY IN A
YOUNG MALAYAN TIGER cub’s
life is especially meaningful.
Traditionally, this occasion marks
their official coming-of-age—and
as of May 12, 2021, all three of the
cubs in the Palm Beach Zoo’s Club
Braman-sponsored immersive
habitat were granted their new
titles.
Visitors are now welcome to meet
Triton, Cahaya, and Mawar.
Triton, the lone male cub, received
his moniker as a nod to his regal
heritage, while his sisters’ names
were inspired by the Malay
language; Cahaya, meaning “light,”
and Mawar, meaning “rose.” These
names are essential for helping Mawar
form a bond between the young
siblings and the care team. Their
final designations came courtesy of
several longtime Zoo supporters.
Braman Motorcars is proud to
be a longstanding partner with
the Palm Beach Zoo, and reflect
their mission of conservation.
Fewer than 350 Malayan tigers
are estimated to live in the wild,
making their preservation critical.
Club Braman members are
encouraged to show their support
for the Zoo, and see for themselves
how these majestic creatures
learn from their mother, Api, and
continue to grow and flourish.
