GivingPoint Project Report
•••
While looking into the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Georgia, we saw that they divided up the board into sections. Those sections are divided up into officers, executive committees, and board members creating a board consisting of a little less than 100 total members in total. This helps Junior Achievement because no one person is forced to take control. Everyone contributes evenly, and the board meetings run more smoothly and in a timelier manner.
While speaking with David Beuchner, Director of Risk Management and Insurance foundation at Georgia State University, Mr. Beuchner shared how he operates his board. The members of David Beuchner’s board automatically commit to be a part of a subcommittee when joining. They also commit to raising a specific dollar amount a year through donations as well as providing a certain amount though their own account. By making this a requirement, there's always a certain amount of income coming in every year, and it also engages the board members to be more active in the organization
We believe that the Board if GivingPoint should continue to put in some of the money yearly, but they should not be putting in most of the money. Revenue should be coming from various fundraising events throughout the year. At those fundraising events, the board should help in the planning process as well as generate a certain percentage of people who come to those events. The Board should also host a fundraising event collectively as a group.
The board of directors are all passionate about GivingPoint and want to see it succeed, but it isn’t fair on them to have to fund most of the operations and not see the growth everyone is hoping to see.

Many people will likely find and interact with businesses via their website, which main function is to provide the needed information to take action. However, we realize that websites can be hard to maintain, especially when new streams of information are to be included in the website regularly.
We researched the “standards” when it comes to website development. That is, what the most active website have, on average, on their platform. Orbit Media
