it isn’t just a hat anymore... it’s a Black Hat.
My grandmother could take a chicken and fry it, stew it, smother it,
bake it, and fricassee it.
She could make soup with the bones, could create several meals
to feed a family of ten
with one chicken, and
make everyone feel
like they’d had enough.
