Our Story...

With more than 25 years’ experience in the boating business, our goal is simple: to exceed
your expectations. From marine services to flotillas to our brokerage and beyond,

everything we do starts with our core values: treat everyone with respect, pursue all tasks
with excellence, and do what is right for the customer, the employee, and our business.
You’ll see this dedication to our values through our charter department’s superior
customer service, our brokerage firm’s boat expertise, and our ongoing dedication to

offering the highest maintenance standards of any yacht company. We don’t just believe in
our core values – we live and breathe them.

Brian Pemberton founded NW Explorations in 2004. It was Brian’s love of cruising and

passion for sharing the Pacific Northwest with others that birthed the now iconic Mother
Goose Flotillas. Under his guidance, the company expanded from six employees to over
30 while still maintaining a small, family business feel. Brian retired in 2017, and under the
new ownership of Ross Tennant and John Nassichuk, NW Explorations continues to grow

and change while staying true to our core values. With Ross and John at the helm, we
have expanded our service department, diversified our charter fleet, and opened a
Canadian branch of NWE in order to better serve our customers on both sides of the
border. We are excited to see where they will take us next!
