Soho was the natural place for his venture, a luxury hotel that combined comfort with a Rock ‘n” Roll edge creating a stylish and vibrant atmosphere. Soho’s Sanctum Hotel is just that, as you walk into reception you are greeted by a giant picture of Hendrix and various Gold Discs adorn the walls. If you make a sharp right into the bar and restaurant the music industry theme continues. Sanctum is not a place to see stuffed suits having meetings over spread sheets, you are more likely to run into a band meeting a creative director or just working off last night’s hang over, if modern bands still drink? The food is great, simple tasty and for London’s West End very reasonably priced. The place has a great vibe, the décor works, the bars are well stocked and the staff are cool without being cold. The 30 individually designed rooms follow the same theme using top quality furnishings, but it’s the attention to detail that resonates through the entire place. The lighting is slightly dimmer than most hotels, the music is little louder, it feels like the place you sneak off to and party when you should be working. There’s always something cool happening, new artists showing work, tattoo exhibitions or screenings in the cinema. Then there is the roof.Sanctum’s roof terrace, open to residents and “members” is one of the coolest spots in London, ironwork covers parts to reduce the draft, there are giant sofas and best of all there’s a hot tub. This is a party venue and no better place to be in the summer. Most hoteliers promise lots, but under deliver. Sanctum shows its owner’s true experience, it’s a real Rock ‘n’ Roll hotel in the heart of buzzing Soho surrounded by restaurants and clubs, but honestly, there’s no need to ever leave as the party’s never over at Sanctum.“LUXURY WITH A ROCK ‘N’ ROLL EDGE”147
