Renault are currently involved in Formula One as a constructor, under the name of Renault Sport.They have been associated with Formula one as both constructor and engine supplier for various periods since 1977, when they introduced the turbo engine to Formula One in its frst car. Withdrawing at the end of 1985 only to return in 2000 when it bought the Enstone based Benetton team (formerly Toleman) and rebranded as the Renault F1 team. For the 2011 season the team competed under the name of Lotus Renault but retained the Renault constructors name. In 2012 it changed again to the Lotus F1 Team until 2015 when they reverted to the control of Renault and rebranded once again. The company has collected over 160 wins as an engine supplier, ranking it 3rd in the history of Formula One.During testing they looked strong against Haas and Sauber although they completed less.The midfeld is quite tightly packed so should hopefully provide some hard racing as they vie to climb up the pack.169
