28MAYIf you have never experienced the Mille Miglia then at the very least fnd a car and follow the crowd. We at Paddock Life we never miss it and this year with our friends at Wentworth Media & Arts/Moonlake Entertainment we will be supporting their flming of the magical event for an up and coming movie documentary. Mille Miglia is not only a legendary race but an awe-inspiring rally of over 350 drivers competing across 1000 miles from Brescia to Rome whilst passing through some of the most beautiful cities in Italy. Rimini, Rome, Ravenna, Siena and Parma to name but a few and you will no doubt see a famous face or two, as in past Mille Miglia races, the likes of Adrien Brody, Jeremy Irons, Luke Evans, Jay Leno, Jodie Kidd, Amy Macdonald, Brian Johnson, Paloma Picasso, Martin Brundle and Bruno Senna have participated. Paris in May - wine, snails, rude waiters and….. Formula E. The championship returns to the circuit de Invalides, the specially created 1.93 km city street course that winds its way round some of the best architecture Paris has to offer, so even on the face of it if the racing does not seem that exciting it’s a great backdrop and by the time the racing starts you have enjoyed a good lunch and drunk your weight in Chateau Lafte Rothschild so you don’t really care. Later in the year and arguably more exciting if you are planning a trip to the Big Apple witness the inaugural New York ePrix in Brooklyn on July 15th/16th. With a host of manufacturers now pledging their allegiance to the all-electric championship and overall show expanding into driverless races! What will they think of next – Donald Trump for president? The Formula One circus arrives in Europe at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya, one of Paddock Life’s favourite events as Barcelona is such a vibrant city. You may fnd us at the Hotel W’s beach bar... The Formula One Monaco Grand Prix is always a frm diary date, probably one of the best dressed motor sport events of the season as corks pop on the superyachts in the marina and the principality focuses on this magnifcent event.
