DUKE OF WOLVES
Tuesday evening in Soho and Jenny and I have just nished a meeting, so we decide we should get some dinner before we head home in our opposite directions. As it’s a little early for dinner, around 7pm, we decide upstairs at the “Snail” would be a good place to sit and nish a bit of work. Tuesday evening Upstairs at L’escargot is music night and usually has a few acoustic acts on, but at this time is fairly quiet.
We take a table in the upstairs bar where the Artistes are setting up. As we ip open the laptop a girl is sound checking, then follow two lads. They apologise for disturbing us as they can see we are engrossed in our computer, then take two acoustic guitars and play a couple of numbers from the two bar stools, whilst the soundman gets the levels and the bar staff shuf e the tables around... it looks like they are expecting a decent crowd.
