2017 was a great year for GT racing, and an excellent year for the Blancpain GT Series, celebrating it’s 25th anniversary in November at a glamorous Gala in Paris, but the real highlight of the entertainment side of the business was at the Total 24 Hours of Spa, when SRO and Blancpain
unveiled their brand new hospitality unit. Chris and I were at the race and lucky enough to be there for its inaugural outing. Without doubt, the best hospitality at an event (not just motorsport) ever.
This purpose built unit was designed to take care of the VIP guests in attendance, which in our opinion are some of the most in uential and wealthy race fans on the planet, all lovely people, but very much used to a certain level of comfort, sophistication and quality. The full unit combining the Blancpain Business Club, with the restaurant certainly ticks all the boxes offering open bar, lunch, dinner and meeting room services.
