After dinner and some red wine, well it is Sunday evening, we are ready to retire to our rooms for a good night’s sleep. My alarm is set for 8:30am, but the sound of a racing engine brings me slowly from my slumber just before the sound of my alarm. I hit the shower, pack up my bags and go down for breakfast, I feel like a kid on Christmas morning....
Today, not only do I get to tick a box off the bucket list by driving one of the most famous circuits in the world, but I’m going to be back behind the wheel of a Ferrari again; an almost religious experience. I’m just nishing my breakfast when Jenny joins me for her morning coffee x. She’s forgotten her hair brush so is rocking the wild woman, skater chick look today.
Our BMW is waiting outside as we check out of De La Source, all the bills are taken care of as it’s all part of the package. Our driver takes us right around the outskirts of the circuit to the paddock entrance on the far side. Which is fascinating as you really get to appreciate not only the size of Spa Francorchamps, but the topography of the ground. As we arrive in the paddock there are two large race trucks with the D2P logos emblazoned on their sides.
