The deep black paintwork was like staring into an ink well, perfectly balanced with gold Porsche badges and further complimented by the brushed chrome nish on the door frames and other bright work, the original patterned wheels somehow looked better proportioned... this was a brand new car. Before any further explanation Paul was eager to open the bonnet and show me the difference to the original we had just seen, an odd place to start, but it made the point. Everything was perfectly trimmed, all the exposed parts of the original were neatly boxed and trimmed leaving what looked like more room for your bespoke luggage. Point made, we worked our way around the car. The interior was perfection, they actually make a new dash console in the same design as the original, but this one ts perfectly. It is then trimmed in two textures of soft leather. The speaker grille on the top of the dash hides a nifty pop-up smart phone holder, so your infotainment system is your phone - which is what most of us use anyway, connected via the holder and Bluetooth into the car. Speakers are then distributed around the car to give a perfect sound. The dials are replaced with custom built new ones, they look like the originals, but use modern tech so they work accurately. All the switch gear is beautifully crafted, again it looks like 1970’s gear, but is brand new; cheap plastic is replaced with machined alloy and other quality materials.
