Crossing the bridge past the magnificent installation outside Goodwood House we did a tour of the big manufactures present. The Ford stand is always impressive and the view from the third-floor terrace spectacular. Lamborghini had their restaurant, but the one of the most impressive was Jaguar Land Rover. This year showing off the XE derived Project 8 and a range of SVO vehicles, with staff on hand to tell us all about this great bespoke service. (More about SVO in a future issue)
There is always so much to see and do and so many people to talk to at the festival of speed that it seemed a fitting finale to our day so sample some great wine at the Shawbury Vintners stand. A few little rain showers certainly didn’t dampen the spirits of the day, they made the hill climb action much better and the suns appearance gave the event the perfect garden party feel. Another great day out.
