Bernard Carl of Washington who made his fortune frstly with bankers Solomon Brothers and then the legendary Bass brothers. He supposedly purchased the car for $4 million in 1997 and it is currently for sale at Talacrest for £45m. The second car is owned by Greg Whitten of Microsoft fame who purchased his car for $5.5 million in 2000. Whitten managed to pirate a copy of rival programming language Microsoft Basic. His pirated version was so perfect that instead of fling infringement charges against Compucolor, Bill Gates offered to forgive their transgression on the condition that Whitten come to work for Microsoft.  A third car is in the hands of Chris Cox of Chapel Hill Carolina. He purchased the car in 2005. He is famous or infamous for badly crashing the car on the 2012 GTO owners club rally in France.The Fourth car is owned by Joe Barone of Honesdale Pennsylvania. He paid $10.6 million for the car in November 2004. I was responsible for the deal putting Mark Ketcham possibly the most prominent dealer in America with Adrian Hamilton representing Joe in the sale.
