BARN STORMERSAt Paddock life we like the unusual and with Messums museums in darkest Wiltshire we defnitely have that. A cool Art gallery set within a 13th century monastic tithe barn but with an automotive twist. This month they will honour car design from the 6-29th. Messums is to celebrate the art and beauty of automotive design. On show will be an important selection of European sports cars that demonstrate the dynamic ways that sports car design has evolved.Seven beautifully preserved classics will be on show alongside four individual modern cars demonstrating the brilliance of modern day designers. From the ground-breaking and achingly beautiful Jaguar series one to the McLaren F1 a true supercar of its time. A Ferrari 288 GTO will also be on show rubbing shoulders with the gorgeous Lamborghini Muira S.Behind every classic car is an adventure in imagination, innovation, true grit and exceptional creative endeavour. Ground breaking designers of the future have invariably been inspired by those who broke away from convention and broke the rules. This is shown in the collection Messums have put together for their Art in Motion show. At the same time as the cars are on display Messums will be showcasing the works of artist Angela Palmer. Her work consists of car parts made of wood, bronze and crystal glass adding another automotive experience to enjoy. So if you are able to get to Wiltshire we highly recommend you go along for a real Automotive experience in such a great setting. To visit Messums Wiltshire contact them on+44 1747 445042www.messumswiltshire.comJohn Breen looks at the Messums museum in Wiltshire, possibly the ultimate barn fnd...
