Welcome

Dear Parents and Students,

A warm welcome to you and your daughter as she approaches the beginning of the very
exciting next stage of her education in St. Leo's College. Indeed, it seems such a long time
th
since we came together on 30 November 2019 for our introductory meeting and so much
has happened in the interim. I know that all 6th class students have probably been feeling a
sense of sadness that the usual end of primary school class rituals cannot take place and

hence there is perhaps a lack of closure. It is also unfortunate that our Entrance Assessments
had to be postponed. Parents and students should however feel reassured by the fact
that Covid-19 has affected all schools in the same way. We must work together now to

support each student as she progresses to secondary school and to prepare her as best we
can for this transition.

This information booklet will provide you with some key information about St. Leo's College.
We hope to work closely with you over the coming months and years in order to ensure that

your daughter flourishes in her new learning environment.
I would like to wish you both every happiness and success as she closes one door and opens

another. We look forward to welcoming you formally into our school community in August.
