The parks experience culminates in
the Devereux Meadows Community Center,
where guest gather in the three-story ter-
raced assembly hall. As one reflects on their
experience within the park, their surrounded
by daylight and balconies looking down into
the terraced assembly. I found it important to
construct the community center around the
experience of the individual. Conceptually, the
program center is developed around a central
assembly space, which connects to secondary
spaces for assembly. Creating easy transition
spaces for the individual, classrooms, galleries,
and a maker space.
