so it helps you imagine what it was like when they were brand new and being in the window of
some guitar shop back then.
LL: What has going through the global pandemic been like for your work and your
career?
GG: It was very, very strange not to be able to play with people all the time, either live or in the
studio. I did do a few things when they would relax the lockdowns, but then they would shut
everything down again, so it was like the sands were shifting under your feet constantly. We
started recording this album in January of this year (2022), and things had finally begun to
open up, so it felt like we all finally got out of jail to be able to all play music in the same room.
Free at last!
LL: What can your fans look forward to coming up for you?
GG: I just did a live show at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood, which we shot and
recorded. We did some stuff from "Blooz", and some things from my previous three albums
(”Say That!”, “Cool Man Cool”, and “Bop! Bang! Boom!”). Sax player Tom Scott was our special
guest on that show, which was really fun. So I’m working to get some of that material up on
YouTube and places like that, so we can share what we did live that night with more people.
And I’d like to do more live gigs and keep on playing the "Blooz" for people!
