The first ‘proper’ track is ‘Hold On’ and it is magnificent. Beccs’ voice soaring above a driving
arrangement with some nice falsetto touches. Wonderful. The title track ‘The Space Between
Us’ is a stunning rocker with a chorus that will inevitably get festival crowds singing along.
There is an excellent cover of Free’s ‘A Little Bit of Love’ with some outstanding, driving bass
from Vince Yarrington. Fabuloso! This is simply a great album…one for the ‘potential album of
the year’ file.
We are hugely lucky to have such outstanding female singers as Ms Downes in the UK. She does
us, and herself, proud.
