streaming again. So I’m really glad I had the opportunity to learn that. It’s not comparable,
experience-wise, but when it’s all you can do, you do it.

BiTS: I think in that sense that COVID has changed the shape of what musicians actually do these

days. Every second album that I get is a sort of lockdown album. At the very least, people have
been dragged in from the other side of the world to play on tracks because people know it’s quite
     easy to do now.

EW: Right. I made a song and a video about the January 6th insurrection in Washington DC CLICK
HERE TO LISTEN and it’s on the ‘videos’ page of my website. I’m actually really proud of it and I
was able to include the bass and organ from the UK and musicians far-flung on that project. So that

was great to be able to do that.

BiTS: Elly, what does the future hold for you? Have you got gigs coming back now?

EW: [Chuckles] Well, venues are still very cautious about having indoor music and I am very
cautious about playing at indoor venues that do not have COVID protocols in place. But it’s still sort
     of creeping back very slowly.

BiTS: I think like you, if you’ll forgive this expression, we are senior citizens and it’s important

     that we still remain careful.

EW: That’s right. Absolutely. I think that it will get better, so I’m not in a big hurry to book a tour
right now. I think about it, and I look forward to it, but I’m sort of holding back a little bit,
especially since a lot of the places I play here in the States are in the south, where some of the
     worst practices are [laughs].

BiTS: Yes. I can understand that. Elly, I’m not going to take too much more of your time.. Thank
you so much for speaking to me. Thank you very much indeed for your time. You have a wonderful

     day.

     EW: Thanks, Ian.

     BiTS: Bye.

     EW: Bye-bye.
