Where do these animals live? How do they survive?
How do you think these animals survive on land?
Let’s Understand (Study the Concept)
Animals are found everywhere. In a typical community, you will see cows,
carabaos, and goats in the farm. At home, you take care of pets like dogs, cats, and
birds. These animals differ with their body structures that also help them adapt to
land. These are called terrestrial animals.
Some animals are covered with fur to keep them warm. Others are
covered with feathers for flying. Some have smooth skin for breathing like worms.
Most body coverings of animals are for protection. Animals have body parts for
moving like legs for walking and wings for flying.
