daughters’ hair. Apparently Purbasari’s hair was longer. But,
Purbararang did not want to give up.
“Let us compete, and the one who has the most handsome fiancé
will win,” said Purbararang.
Purbasari was sad. She knew Purbararang's fiancé was
handsome; meanwhile, she did not have a fiancé yet. Purbasari
became restless and confused. Finally, she pulled Lutung
Kasarung.
Purbararang laughed out loud, "So the monkey is your fiancé?"
At that time also Lutung Kasarung immediately meditated.
Lutung Kasarung transformed into a handsome young man,
much more handsome than Indrajaya.
Purbararang finally admitted defeat and felt guilty over this.
She apologized to his sister and begged not to be punished.
Purbasari forgave Purbararang and her fiancé and allowed them
to stay in the palace.
At last, Purbasari became a queen, accompanied by a young
man in her dreams. The young man who turned out had always
been with him in the jungle in the form of a monkey.
