Expectations and Satisfaction of Third-grade Students of

Vinogradska Nursing School with the Transition to

               Vocational Education

The topic "Expectations and satisfaction of third grade students of Vinogradska School of
Nursing with the transition to vocational education" investigates how students experience the
transition from general to vocational education and how these expectations affect their
satisfaction. The research shows that students' expectations are an important factor in their
success and that satisfaction can also be the result of the alignment between expectations and
reality. In the study of students' expectations and satisfaction with the transition to vocational
education, it was shown how these expectations are formed in different groups of students. An
important indicator of research is educational institutions that can adjust their programs to better
meet the expectations of students and thereby increase their satisfaction and success in
               vocational education.
The research was conducted in February 2024 among all third-grade students of the
Vinogradska Nursing School. The questionnaire consisted of 20 questions that the students
could answer anonymously. The research shows the results of the questions asked about
whether students voluntarily enrolled in medical school. It also answers the question of how
satisfied they are with the transition to vocational education, whether the education provides
them with useful skills and knowledge for their future career, and whether they notice an
improvement in their everyday practical skills. The research itself also showed the students'
satisfaction with the equipment of the cabinet for the performance of skills, satisfaction with
the performance of professional exercises at the workplaces, and the relationship and evaluation
of the mentor-teacher. The survey included questions about the quality of their lives with regard
to their school obligations and their view of their expectations and what they actually got by
switching to vocational education. In the questionnaire, the students were able to comment on
vocational classes and exercises, and to give specific suggestions for the purpose of improving
both vocational classes and vocational exercises.
