T HE T RUE N ATURE AND E SSENCE OF THE P RIORY OF Z ION
Edited by Marco Rigamonti
It is good to frame what are the true traits that delineate the essence of
the Priory of Zion, in order to be able to distinguish those legitimate
traditions, which have come to this day through authentic orders, such
as Freemasonry and the Templars, together with those which are not
degenerated to such an extent that they had lost or compromised
irreparably the original deposit of which were once keepers.
The Priory of Zion, as various other traditions, derives its true origins
from the original schools of the ancient mysteries, which, through an
uninterrupted chain, have succeeded in bringing the knowledge of
Primordial tradition, each one, through a different system but
containing the same truth.
The Priory of Zion therefore, in its original, authentic, legitimate and real essence and raison d'être, is a science that treats the
spirituality of man, in the function of making it ascend to the divine through Gnosis.
There is a way that leads to a How to be superior and secret than ordinary and commonly perceived, which cannot emerge until
the "center of gravity" around which we turn the use of our resources and our attention, then of our life, is the outer world and its
many dynamics.
The true heart of the Priory of Zion is certainly not only in the perfect memorization of rituals or in the application of protocols,
as this is a necessary requirement, but not enough in itself; Rituals are symbolic and allegorical elements that are only present to
those who already have crossed the threshold of the temple, having access to its mysteries and their function is that of being
penetrated and decoded; The true heart of the Priory of Zion is something incalculably majestic and profound, which appearances
simply do not contradict its true essence, but it is still of appearances, which have, at the end and raison d'être, that of being
understood and also decoded by the most and in some cases, to make from vehicle to transmit certain elements.
It is only the understanding, the implementation and the application of the authentic teachings of the order, to make the difference
between the initiation genuinely flowed because honored and waiting fully in its purposes and a failed initiation, because it has
lost the requirements on the way, like a perfectly functioning ship but that has remained dry of fuel, not being able to continue the
voyage for incompetence and inadequate of the commander.
It is through the initiation, that one has the possibility to abandon a previous mental attitude, system of thought and way of being,
to "start" a new phase, adopting a protocol that has at its center the acquisition of self-awareness through the attainment of
"superior states of being", of Gnosis and of the knowledge of God through the latter. It is not a simple path of growth, it would be
approximate, not to say inaccurate because incomplete, define it so; Since growth is actually "transverse" in a first phase, that is,
when we are able to emerge from our internal, conscious level, that "essence" that allows us to decode and understand the
elements of knowledge, oral, ritual or written that we are facing, which, once "from the sun to the Moon" (from the Spirit to the
mind), will begin a new process of elaboration of which the conscious mind and our spiritual source enjoy the benefits of a further
process that will result in a further expansion of consciousness and awareness.
From what has been highlighted a moment ago, it is also clear, that the initiate which is actually honoring and bearing in mind the
true purpose and nature of authentic initiation, has as its first and most important purpose, the attainment of enlightenment,
Gnosis, of the connection to the divine and of the consequent ascension and for all these reasons, once again, emerges as another
element perceived as the "pillar" of the Order, i.e. the "fidelity" to the same, is not actually that a natural consequence of such I
walk and not a "point of beginning and arrival", which carelessly forgets the "journey" to reach you, rather, a point of conduct
indispensable, essential and vital to the survival of the order itself but that does not directly represent the more authentic and
intimate nature, as could be commonly misunderstood.
It can be said that the true initiation manifests itself when even in life it has shown that it has passed the tests, held head
to its own role and has actually entered into communion with the divine, not only in the context representative of the ritual
or otherwise within the life of the order, but in the vast and whole context of life.
