Party Ideas That Are Anything but Boring

Looking to make your next social gathering one that guests
talk about long after it’s over but are stuck for creative ideas for
an unforgettable event? Fear not, hosts and hostesses! These
party ideas will have guests clamoring for a return invitation.

Foodie Fete
The Austin area is rife with opportunities to enjoy sump-
tuous cuisine from around the world. Replicating a dish
or two at home can be daunting, but that experiment is
a perfect opportunity to host an in-home cooking lesson
party, such as those offered by Freda’s Kitchen. Its chefs
teach groups of 8 to 15 to make four courses that can
include sushi, pho, paella or pasta. The restaurant works
with party hosts to customize the menu to satisfy guests’
tastes and dietary restrictions.
Freda’s Kitchen also offers large groups the chance to

receives a mystery basket of ingredients, a designated
chef-coach and 60 minutes to create three dishes. Judges
then award scores based on teamwork, communication
and cleanliness in addition to dish presentation and taste.
