CELEBRATING OUR 2ND ANNUAL TOPS IN TARRANT MEDICAL EDITION WINNERS

There are many factors that apply when we talk about leading a healthy life. Finding
doctors that you trust plays a role in living that healthy lifestyle and assessing your overall
health. When we need a doctor—most of us ask for referrals from our friends and family,
or check our health insurance plans. Being the owner of a local magazine does have its
perks—I ask over 125,000 of my neighbors what doctors they would recommend to their
family and friends. And, that’s exactly what we did. This ‘Tops in Tarrant’ Medical Edition
celebrates the success of 100 local medical practices as a response to the voting results
of our website survey asking the local community to tell us who ranks the highest in their
respective specialty. The medical professionals featured in this issue share a commitment
to their patients’ healthcare that has earned them the right to be named a 2019 Society
Life Magazine ‘Tops in Tarrant’ medical practice. We asked you to vote in our online website
survey by nominating the top 3 medical practices under 33 different specialties. The final
34th category was for the most total votes held by only one winner. You can view the final
list of medical specialties and our winners on page 29 of this issue. Here are some
additional details on exactly how our ‘Tops in Tarrant’ winner list was compiled for 2019.

HOW THE TOPS IN TARRANT WINNERS WERE CHOSEN: The Society Life ‘Tops in Tarrant’
medical list is a result of a website-based survey requesting suggestions for the top local
leaders of each listed specialty. The 34 categories were chosen by the Society Life Magazine
editorial staff. It was suggested that any medical practice who serves the local residents of
Northeast Tarrant County was eligible—including, but not limited to, Society Life Magazine
advertisers. If any practice was nominated for multiple specialties, it appears under only one
category as decided by the Society Life staff. There are no duplicate business listings
allowed—each business may appear only once in the top 100 which includes 3 nominations
under each of the 33 specialties—except under Most Votes which allows for one nomination.
The final numbers are confidential and anonymous. The resulting list on page 29 of this
issue reflects the practices who received the most votes from the final survey nominations.
The list includes the top 3 nominations based on vote totals and all listings are alphabetical
under their respective specialty—they are not listed by number of votes or any ranking.

Join me in congratulating these medical professionals who appear on our list. It is an honor
to be voted on and named one of the Top 100 medical practices serving the Northeast
Tarrant County community, however many highly regarded practices do not appear on this
list—so we want to hear from you, their patients, next year if you love your doctor!
