Chapter 8

The Adversary

I saw an angel having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
He seized the Adversary that old serpent, which is the Tempter and Satan who
deceived the whole world, and bound him a thousand years. He cast him into the
bottomless pit and shut him up and set a seal over him that he should no more
deceive the nations until the thousand years have passed. Then he will be
loosed for a short time.
When the thousand years come to an end the Adversary shall be loosed out of
his prison.
He shall go out and deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth
even to China and Mongolia to gather them together for war;
