19. LACROSSE - WOMEN’S
Section 1. Tournament Dates
The dates for the NJCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship are as follows:
May 15-16, 2021 at Onondaga Community College; Syracuse, NY
May 14-15, 2022 at Onondaga Community College; Syracuse, NY
May 13-14, 2023 at Monroe Community College, Rochester, NY
Section 2. Qualification and Selection of Teams for Tournament
A. Current NJCAA Eligibility Rules shall apply.
B. All regional and district competition must be completed by Monday, May 10, 2021
C. Qualifying shall take place as follows:

D. If a team should decide not to participate, the NJCAA Joint Lacrosse Committee will select an at-large team. The committee will use
the following criteria, in no specific order, to select the at-large team:
• NJCAA record vs. common opponents
• Head-to-head competition
• Overall NJCAA record
• Strength of schedule
• Overall win-loss record
E. The national tournament will be a four-team tournament comprised of the four district champions. The NJCAA Joint
Lacrosse Committee will seed the tournament using the following criteria, in no specific order:
• National poll
• NJCAA record vs. common opponents
• Head-to-head competition
• Overall NJCAA record
• Strength of schedule
• Overall win-loss record
Section 3. Tournament Events
The NJCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship shall be conducted as a single-elimination tournament.
Section 4. Rules and Officials
A. The Tournament Host shall be responsible for securing the services of all necessary officials, judges, etc., to satisfactorily conduct
the tournament as determined by the NJCAA Joint Lacrosse Committee.
B. Once postseason tournament play begins, games will be played under NCAA rules.
Section 5. Finances
A. Each college shall pay its own team expenses.
B. The entry fee shall be $200
Section 6. Tournament Lodging
Should the Tournament Host/National Office choose to assign lodging for this event, all participating colleges must honor that assignment
or pay for those rooms.
Section 7. Procedure for Women’s Lacrosse National Poll
A. In order for teams to be considered for weekly national rankings, all scores from the previous week must be entered into the NJCAA
PrestoSports Stats System by 11:59 PM ET on Sunday of each week.
1. All statistics from the previous week must be entered into the NJCAA PrestoSports Stats System by 2:00 PM ET on Monday of
each week.
B. The preseason rankings will be conducted at the discretion of the NJCAA Joint Lacrosse Committee. Poll will be released the third
Monday of February. The first regular season poll will be voted on the first Monday in March. The last poll will be voted on during the
last Monday in April. TBD due to COVID-19
C. The NJCAA Women's Lacrosse Poll will be released Monday of each week unless the Monday is a national holiday where the poll will
be released on Tuesday.
D. Each team’s performance from the previous week will be compiled in a report through the NJCAA PrestoSports Stats System and
disseminated to the NJCAA Joint Lacrosse Committee to be voted on individually by each voter.
1. The voters will consist of the seven members of the NJCAA Joint Lacrosse Committee.
2. A first-place vote receives 10 points and a fifth-place vote receives 1 point.

4. Results against ranked opponents
F. The poll voters will submit their top-5 rankings to the NJCAA National Office online system by 1:00 PM ET on Mondays, unless the
Monday prior is a national holiday where votes will be due on Tuesday. The National Office will compile the votes for each team and
release the final rankings Monday afternoon.
