ARTICLE I
                                          MEMBERSHIP DUES & RESPONSIBILITIES

            Section 1.  Dues
               A.  Amount: The annual dues total charged to each individual institution is $3,200.
               B.  Date Payable: The annual dues and membership form of each member college shall be due and payable on or before September 15th
                   of each calendar year. In the case where this requirement is not met, the college will be subject to the following:
                       a.  A late fee of $500.00.
                       b.  Membership dues that are not postmarked or received by the NJCAA National Office by October 1st will not be accepted and
                          the institution will no longer be a member of the NJCAA.
                       c.  The NJCAA Appeal Process as outlined in Article VIII may be used if necessary.
               C.  New Membership: By majority vote of the Board of Regents, membership may be awarded or denied to any institution.
               D.  Division Declaration: Member institutions shall declare divisional status in those sports offering more than one division for NJCAA
                   participation. Such declaration shall be made once every four years based upon the timeline below and shall serve as a four-year
                   commitment  for  the  sport.  The  Board  of  Regents  shall  approve  a  four-year  district  playoff  during  the  annual  meeting  for  each
                   commitment cycle and in conjunction with the schedule below. Once set, no changes shall be permitted within the division structure
                   for the cycle.

                     2017-2018   Colleges will be required to complete and submit a divisional commitment form in the
                               Fall of 2017 for the 2018-2022 commitment cycle. The commitment will begin August 1,
                     2018-2019   Commitment in Place
                     2019-2020   Commitment in Place
                     2020-2021   Colleges will be required to complete a divisional commitment form in the Fall of 2020 for the 2022-2026 cycle. The
                               commitment begins August 1, 2022 and runs thru July 31,
                               2026.

                     2021-2022   Final year of the 2018-2022 commitment cycle.
                     2022-2026   New commitment cycle begins.
            Section 2.  Certified Sports of the NJCAA
                A. The certified sports of the NJCAA are as follows:
             Baseball- Fall   Football           Lacrosse- Fall        Soccer-Fall
             Baseball - Spring   Golf – Fall     Lacrosse – Spring     Soccer - Spring    Wrestling
             Basketball       Golf – Spring      Outdoor Track & Field   Swimming & Diving   Beach Volleyball - Spring

             Cross Country    Indoor Track & Field   Softball – Spring   Tennis – Spring

            Section 3.  Conditions and Obligations of Membership
                As a condition of membership, the member of this organization shall:
                A.  Administer their athletic programs in accordance with the Articles of Incorporation, the constitution, bylaws, executive regulations and
                    other legislative acts of this association.
                B.  Establish and maintain a high standard of ethics and fair play.
                C.  Pay the annual dues before the deadline set by the Board of Regents.
                D.  Agree that the name National Junior College Athletic Association, initials NJCAA, logo and other NJCAA symbols and insignia are
                    registered in the United States Patent and Trademark office. The name, initials and marks are fully protected and are the exclusive
                    property of the Association. The Association, its officers, officials, CEO or third party on behalf of the Association, shall have full and
                    exclusive authority over its name, logos, trademarks and service marks both registered and unregistered, including but not limited to
                    the  marks  “National  Junior  College  Athletic  Association”,  “NJCAA”,  “National  JUCO  Championships”,  “National  Champion”,
                    “NJCAATV”, “National Championship” and “National Junior College Championships” – and any deviate or similar mark likely to be
                    confused therewith. Member colleges in good standing with the Association may use the registered marks of the Association (the
                    Association’s name, logo, etc.) only in accordance with guidelines established by the CEO.
