A Comparative Study
of Divine Creation Theologies & Philosophies
Abstract
I was drawn to the glorious ethereal and hermeneutical delight of studying the divine Λόγος and the Word in Grecian and Judeo-Christian-Islamic (“JCI”) creation theologies and philosophies, seeking to understand how the traditions of Judaism, Christianity and Hellenism converged, and how these beautiful two interrelated arguments conjugated themselves:
1. How the indemonstrable Grecian divine creation “out of something” and the JCI’s creation “out of nothing,” or “out of the Word” were crucial to the logical and religious realities they created, and
2. How Philo’s synthesis of the OT “Word” and the Stoic “Λόγος,” grounded on Stoicism’s allegorized Hermes as Λόγος, rationalized the OT perception of the Word.
