              Example 6:


              The potential drop between the two terminals of an electric heater


              is 75V when it draws a current of 5A from the source. Find the current

              that the heater will draw if the potential difference is increased to

              150V?


              Solution:


              Given, potential difference, V = 75V, current, I = 5A



              We know that,


                  V        75
              R=    ⇒R=        =15Ω
                  I         5


              When the potential difference is increased to 150V, then current is


                 V '  150
               '
              I =   =      =10A
                 R     15


              So, the current through the heater becomes 10A.
