186. LIVERPOOL STNGO GIANT SHOP DISPLAY BOTTLE. 37ins tall, made of wood, leather (?) and featuring a large front paper label advertising HIGSONS STINGO at 5 1/2D HALF PINT. Another great early shop survivor - never seen another The group shot of these giant shop bottles gives this one scale. Overall wear. 7 to 8/10. NR. £200-300+
  Higsons Brewery was formed in 1780 at 64 Dale Street, Liverpool. The company brewed beer at this site
until 1914, when it moved
to the Windsor Brewery in Upper Parliament Street. It ceased trading in 1990 when Whitbread the then owners closed its operations.
