Coming off a strong 2015 season, rounds played across the country has shown year-to-date progression in most parts of the country again in 2016! Atlantic Canada experienced the biggest increases. The old saying ‘what goes around, comes around’ holds true for our friends on the eastern boundary of our country. A dismal start to the 2015 golf season is a distant memory as Atlantic Canada had marvelous spring golfing conditions that continued until the end of this reporting period.
The Prairies, Ontario and Quebec are also displaying positive rounds played in both the 1 and 3 year subsets for the year-to-date category. Some very good weather has been enjoyed in this area of the nation in 2016.

Alberta’s record start to the golf season had owners and operators scrambling for staff but May flowers turned into June showers which continued throughout the summer deterring some golfers from enjoying their favourite pastime.
We have had record participation in this initiative for 2016 and we encourage all facilities to continue to input their data on a monthly basis. Your information is confidential and it takes only seconds to complete this monthly task. Reports are an aggregate of all the courses that have entered information in their region.
