History of solar Panels
Harnessing energy from the sun is nothing new. Solar panels were invented as early as 1897, but hit the market with a bang in the early 2000s with many influential leaders and celebrities like George W. Bush, Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Vatican installing them. Since then, the green energy act in 2009, coupled with the rise in popularity and fast growing factories in China brought the production costs down to a fraction of the price, and installations doubled in 2012.

Why are solar panels relevant to you? Just as they have infiltrated the roofs of proud homeowners; solar panels have also made their way in the golf industry. You may have seen the solar powered golf carts driving around, generating buzz with local golfers using them. Golf courses are now looking to solar panels on a larger scale.
When considering renewable power not only for your carts, but your entire facility, solar panels can offer a clean solution for golf courses across the country.
