Chapter Advisory Board: Election Process Underway
Elections
The NGCOA Canada is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, supported by eight Chapter Advisory Boards across the country.
The Call for Nominations was issued in each chapter and nationally, beginning in early April ‘16 and each month thereafter to July ‘16. All expressions of interest were to be submitted by August 1st, 2016 for consideration by the respective nominating committee.
The nominating committees are seeking individuals with a diverse combination of skills, experience, and business aptitude that are representative of its membership. All NGCOA Canada members are eligible to sit on a Chapter Advisory Board, provided they are members-in-good-standing and able to commit to a 2-year term*, beginning November 2016.
Each chapter nominating committee will propose its slate of advisory board members during the latter part of September, via e-newsletter (NGCOA Canada 360). All voting will be tabulated electronically, by chapter.
These chapter elections dovetail with the election process for the governing body of the association, which is the NGCOA Canada Board of Directors. The proposed slate for the NGCOA Canada Board of Directors will be distributed to the members, along with all meeting materials, during the week of October 14th.
Members will elect the new Board of Directors, in-person, during the Annual General Meeting, held in conjunction with the Golf Business Canada Conference & Trade Show, in Whistler, BC, November 17-19, 2016.
*All terms (Board of Directors and Chapter Advisory Board) are for 2 years, from November 2016 to November 2018.
