Kevin Hennigar, Equipment Technician
of the Year, was presented with the 2021 CGSA/Foley Company Equip- ment Technician of the Year award virtually by Paul Rauker, President/ CEO Foley Company, during The Canadian Golf Course Management Conference.
Kevin was selected as the recipi- ent based on his leadership, manage- ment skills and problem-solving skills. His proactive approach and willingness to help and educate other equipment technicians is a testament that he is very deserving of this award.
Nominator Ron Allen says, “When I first met Kevin, he stood out to me with how he serviced equipment, shared information with other technicians, but most importantly with me. He has worked hard over the past few years to set up both facilities to be safe, clean, and organized workshops. His ability to keep
every day lighthearted, never get discouraged and always help anyone in need, including sharing tips on social media, is inspiring. When I think of Kevin, I truly believe he is somebody who is always lifting others up.”
Kevin has been the Head Equipment Manager at Angus Glen Golf Club and Goodwood Golf Club since 2009 and has been in the industry for 22 years. He is a strong leader, disciplined in his work, very organized, a great mentor, and makes his role of managing the equipment fleet look easy.
The CGSA/Foley Company Equipment Technician of the Year Award is presented annually to the technician whose nomination is judged to be the best example of an individual who exhibits profes- sionalism, innovation, and a team approach to make a significant contribution to their golf facility and the golf community.

If you know an outstanding equipment technician who should be nominated for the 2022 CGSA/Foley Company Equipment Technician of the Year Award, you can nominate them until November 30, 2022, at www.golfsupers.com. The winner will be recognized during the awards ceremony at the Canadian Golf Course Management Conference in Vancouver, February 2023.
The award winner will be chosen by an anonymous selection committee. The winner will receive an All-Access registration to the conference, 4 nights accommoda- tion at the Fairmont Hotel Vancou- ver and transportation costs to the conference. GM
