  A Fond Farewell
As I write my final President’s message, I feel great pride in everything we have accomplished these past two years. The NGCOA Canada continued to grow, providing more services and programs to its members. We worked closely with allied partners as we facilitated strong communications and clarity.
Never was there a time when we needed the NGCOA Canada more than in 2020 and they were the light in the darkness we all needed. As we struggled to keep up with and interpret the ever-changing government restrictions and uncertainty in our world, the NGCOA Canada provided us with timely and accurate information, assistance, and a united voice for the industry. I am so proud of the commitment the NGCOA Canada continues to make to golf course owners and operators. We feel confident that they have our back.
As I hand over the reins of this great association to Harry Brotchie, I am confident about where the NGCOA Canada is headed. We are lucky to have someone leading the charge with as much dedication and experience as Harry. We are in great hands, and I know under Harry’s guidance, this great work will continue to move forward.
My deepest gratitude to Jeff, Nathalie and the staff at the NGCOA Canada, the chapter board members, the national board members, suppliers and you, the members of the NGCOA Canada. It has been my pleasure serving the Canadian golf community and I am excited to see what the years ahead will bring.
Sincerely,
Lesley McMahon Owner, Balmoral Golf Course, AB Past President, NGCOA Canada lesley@balmoralgolf.ca

United We Stand
It is an honor to serve as the 12th President of the NGCOA Canada.
On behalf of the Board, staff and our over 1400 members, I would like to thank Lesley for her exemplary leadership over the last two years.
As President of the NGCOA Canada, I bring more than 20 years of membership in the association, the experience of operating 9 golf courses under Lakeland Golf Management and 14 years on the Board of the PGA of Canada. I was privileged to serve as President of the PGA of Canada and currently have the opportunity to work closely with Golf Canada as a member of the Golf Canada Hall of Fame selection committee and the Golf Industry Advisory Council. My goal is to continue to strengthen relationships with all stakeholders in our industry.
2020 was a very unique year; overall, golf was fortunate in being recognized as an activity that people could participate in safely through social distancing. While rounds played were up across the country, we do recognize that owners and operators faced serious challenges. COVID required us to pivot and our virtual conference was a shining example of the successful innovation we will continue to seek.
We are optimistic about 2021 and are working to ensure retention of the new rounds played in 2020, however, we will also be conscious of challenges yet to come. We will all have to work diligently and I can assure you the NGCOA Canada will continue to provide all the support possible.
Sincerely,
Harry Brotchie
