image of the sport. John is looking forward to working with others on these shared goals to help make the turf industry a profession with many opportunities to showcase our environmental stewardship.
Despite being an early riser, John has not set his alarm in over 25 years and amazingly, he has never drank a cup of coffee or tea to get him going in the morning! John has a cottage in his hometown of Owen Sound, Ontario, and plans to move there when he eventually retires. Currently he resides in their home on his golf course with his wife Stephanie, two daughters, Abigail and Avery, and dog, Brodie.
When John was younger, he played junior hockey and senior lacrosse. He used those skills and his love for the sport to help coach his daughters in hockey when they were younger. Over the years, John has learned that to have a great work/life balance, it is important to think of yourself and family during the busiest time of year. John declares that one of the best decisions he has ever made is taking a week off during the summer. John’s approach to both his professional and personal life shows us that a balance is attainable; you just have to make it happen. Welcome John, we look forward to working with you! GM
