The sold-out tradeshow was full of new products, turf professionals and networking. A one stop shop for everyone in the industry.
ONLINE AUCTION RAISES $24,000
Once again, the online auction provided a great opportunity for delegates to battle over products that can help their facilities. A huge thank you to all the companies and regional associations who donated to the auction, as more than 20 individual items and products were available to bid on.
A special thank you to The Toro Company for donating a Toro GTX Work man EFI Lifted Utility Vehicle that retails for over $24,000. Congratulations goes to Dean Piller, AGS (Cordova Bay Golf Course) who outbid everyone and snatched it up. Thank you to everyone who placed bids on items and supported the CGSA. We raised nearly $24,000, and this will be used to fund awards, scholarships, and advocacy.
EPIC SOCIAL EVENTS
A conference is not a conference without social events and once again, the CGCMC did not disappoint! The SociALL kicked off Tuesday night and the foyer was shoulder to
shoulder in with networking and lots of spirited conversation. Thank you to Brett Young for sponsoring the event. The Wednesday Night Party was held atBrutopiaBrewPub.Thisfuneveningofsnacks, beverages, laughs, andlive music cannot be fully expressed through words, but suffice it to say, it was a blast for all who attended.
SOLD OUT TRADESHOW
This year’s tradeshow was sold out and the atmosphere was energetic. Over 60 representatives and suppliers from all parts of the industry set up booths for delegates to visit, discuss trends, and view new options to help improve the golf experience at their facilities. The trade show lunch was all the buzz as attendees were treated to multiple stations of spectacular food, most notably Montreal’s iconic Schwartz’s Deli smoked meat. The trade show closed with a social time where vendors and delegates could mingle over beverages. Thank you to all the suppliers who participated in making the trade show such a highlight.
DON’T ‘MIST’ NEXT YEAR
Eager to continue the success of Montreal, the CGSA is excited to announce that next year’s event will provide an opportunity to visit one of the ‘7 Natural Wonders of North America’. The City of Niagara Falls, Ontario will be host to the 2025 Canadian Golf Course Management Conference in partnership with the Ontario Golf Superintendents Association. We look forward to seeing everyone there! GM
