CREATE A POLICY STATEMENT
Once your scope is realized and your context is identified a policy statement should be created. This is a document that staff should be trained on and can be shared with the public in order to show you are addressing environmental issues. Keep it in simple terms that anyone can understand, SPR’s policy is as follows:
Maintaining our year-round mountain environment is essential to the enjoyment of our guests; the success of Sun Peaks Resort LLP and delivery of our mission “To Provide the Finest Mountain Resort Experience”.
We also recognize that respect for the environment has implications in the safety and wellbeing of our guests and employees.
With this goal in mind, we are committed to conducting our operations in an environmentally responsible manner by protecting the land, its flora, fauna and natural processes.
Specifically, we will:
• Fulfil our compliance obligations, including complying with all applicable
environmental laws and regulations;
• Minimize adverse environmental impacts from our operations and enhance
safety through the use of procedures and planning;
• Prevent pollution by applying the principals of “reduce, reuse, and recycle”; • Promote environmental awareness;
